Based on this setting, the planned hours can be inserted automatically in the time sheet. The settings **Back-flush Hours** and **Planning Controlled** work closely together. **Back-flush Hours** only works when the task is **Planning Controlled**. If you want resources to always specify how much time they actually worked on a task, leave **Back-flush Hours** off. The following planning functions in source documents are considered. ## Projects Project planning lines of the type **Resource** must have planning entries. This is indicated by the **Planning Status** field. The planning status can be: - **Open**: the quantity on the project planning line is not distributed over project planning entries. - **Partially Planned**: the quantity on the project planning line is partially distributed over project planning entries. - **Balanced**: the quantity on the project planning line is fully distributed over project planning entries. For more information, see [Resource planning for projects](/business-central/docs/bc-resource-planning-for-projects). ## Assembly orders The assembly order has resource allocations that are not **Finished**. ## Service orders The service order line has resource allocations that are not **Cancelled**. ## Production order operations Resources have been added to the production order routing operations and cover the production order need. ## Related - [Resource tasks](/bc-resource-tasks.md) - [Resource planning for projects](/bc-resource-planning-for-projects.md)
