# Manually create production containers

You can create a production container manually from the container list or the **Container** page:

## Steps

1. On the list or the page, choose the **New** button in the ribbon.
2. Enter the relevant information such as **Container Type**, **Location Code**, and **Bin**.
3. On the newly created container, choose **Assign to Order** from the ribbon.
4. On the **Assign Container to Order** page, select the order type as **Production**. Then select the released production order number.
5. If the inventory setup is set to **Pick Production per Line**, you can select the correct production order line. If this setting is not used, the production order line number cannot be chosen.
