# Manually assign orders to delivery trips

An order without a defined delivery route is not automatically assigned to a delivery trip. You can manually assign these orders to existing delivery trips.

## Steps

1. In the search box, enter **Delivery Trips**, and then choose the related link.
2. Click the value in the **Unassigned Documents** field in the fact box. The **Delivery Trip Mgt-Unassigned** page appears.

You must release a document before you can select it for assignment. Open orders are not displayed in the **Delivery Trip Mgt-Unassigned** page.
3. Select the order you want to assign to a trip.
4. On the line, enter the delivery trip number in the appropriate field or use the lookup to select the correct delivery trip.
5. Choose **OK**.
