# Lot summary

Use the lot summary to review what happened with a specific lot. This feature is particularly useful in Quality Control when you need to find out which customers received products with a particular lot number, or which vendor a defective material came from.

## Steps - Show lots

1. In the search box, enter **Lot Summary**, and then choose the related link.
2. In the **Item No. Filter** and **Lot No. Filter** fields, enter the specific item and lot number you want to trace.
3. Choose **Process**, then **Show Lots**.

The **Lot Summary** page displays a range of information about the entered lot number.
