# Link service items to a service object

Use the **Service Object** page to link service items.

## Steps

1. In the search box, type **Service Object**.
2. Select **Service Object** to open the list of available service objects.
3. Select the service object to link service items to and click **Edit** to open the **Service Object card**.
4. Select the **Lines** FastTab to add service items.
5. Complete the following fields:

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Project No. and Project Description | When the service item is linked to a project, the **Project No.** and **Project Description** fields are also populated. |
| Type | Select **Service Item**. You can also select **Service Object** if the current service object is a parent service object. |
| No. and Description | Select a service item from the drop-down list. The **Description** is retrieved from the service item. Only service items for the customer and location are listed. |
