# Job queue handler

A job queue handler carries out post-processing activities.

The **Event Generator** is a standard pipeline activity that runs an event from a pipeline. It most often follows the **Record Generator** activity. The event the **Event Generator** produces is a job queue entry record with properties. The standard job queue engine processes the job queue entry. Examples of job queue handlers include posting a sales document after importing it.
