# Incident reason codes

An incident reason code contains a type (incident or resolution), a code, and a description.

Set up one or more incident reason codes and resolution reason codes. Use these codes in both incident registration and incident resolution. They provide quick information to the user through the page and also support extensive management reporting on the reasons and resolutions of incidents.
