# Set up loading docks

Set up loading docks for a location if you want to record truck loading activities for delivery trips. Each delivery trip must have an assigned loading dock. When truck loading information is entered into an automated data capture device, it is recorded for a particular loading dock.

> Enable delivery trip truck loading in a location before setting up loading docks.

## Steps

1. In the search box, enter **Locations**, and then choose the related link.
2. Select the location that will have loading docks.
3. On the **Navigate** tab, in the **Location** group, choose **Loading Docks**.
4. On the **Loading Docks** page, fill in a line with a code and a description for each loading dock.
