# Customization and extension

### Customization

All modifications to STAEDEAN solutions and products follow Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central design principles. See also: [Customizing Business Central](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/ui-customizing-overview).

### Extension

Extensions are a programming model where functionality defines an addition to existing objects and specifies how they differ from or modify the behavior of the solution. If you require specific extension points (publishers) on STAEDEAN objects, use the Support portal to request an extension point.
