# Create SSCC codes

On the container header, an **SSCC Code** field holds the true value of the SSCC code, without the Application Identifier (00). The **License Plate** field contains the following value depending on the setup:

- No GS1 code and non-serialized: Container ID
- No GS1 and serialized: Serial number
- GS1 and non-serialized: 00 + SSCC code
- GS1 and serialized: depending on the setting on the **Container Type**, either 00 + SSCC code or the serial number
