In the search box, enter **Formulas**, and then choose the related link. 2. Select the formula that will have a new version. 3. On the **Versions** FastTab, choose **New Version** to open an empty formula version card. The newly created version is automatically assigned the status **New**. The time validity of the version is specified by the **Starting Date** field. 4. If desired, copy the data from a previous version to the new version. 5. Fill in the fields of the new formula version. 6. Resize the batch if desired. 7. When you are done, change the **Status** field to **Certified**. | **To** | **See** | | --- | --- | | Learn more about using equipment in formulas. | [Assign equipment to a formula](/business-central/docs/bc-assign-equipment-to-a-formula) | | Learn more about changing the recipe size of your formulas. | [Resize a formula](/business-central/docs/bc-resize-a-formula) | | Learn how to copy a formula version from a previous version. | [Copy formula versions](/business-central/docs/bc-copy-formula-versions) | ## Related - [Assign equipment to a formula](/bc-assign-equipment-to-a-formula.md) - [Resize a formula](/bc-resize-a-formula.md) - [Copy formula versions](/bc-copy-formula-versions.md) - [Define basic manufacturing processes](/bc-define-basic-manufacturing-processes.md)
