When a large quantity of a single lot is received or produced, it is customary to take samples (for example, one from the beginning of the lot, one from the middle, and one from the end. This requires the ability to create several Quality Control activities for a lot. The user creates these additional activities manually.

Create additional activities using the Add action from:

  • The Open Q/C Activity List

  • The Completed Q/C Activity List

  • The Quality Control page

The Q/C activity selected when you initiate the Add action determines the type (original or re-test) of activities to be added.

The Quality Control Results Entry page) used to enter Q/C results and display results for completed activities, also includes an Add action.

The type of activities to be added is determined by the type and status of the activity currently displayed.

The Lot Quality Test Results page is used when adding additional activities for a lot. It lets you enter the number of copies to be made. This defaults to 1 and must be an integer greater than or equal to 1.

The number of Q/C activities that currently exist for a lot is displayed on several list pages that show lots and Q/C activities:

  • Open Q/C Activity List

  • Completed Q/C Activity List

  • Lots
