Import Lifecycles from example files that come with the STAEDEAN products, or create them manually.
Steps
Choose the
icon (Alt+Q).Select LifeCycles.
Use the following actions as required:
Action
Explanation
New
Creates a new Lifecycle.
Edit
Opens an existing Lifecycle for editing.
Release
Releases the Lifecycle and makes it available for use.
Reopen
Reopens a released Lifecycle for editing.
Export
Exports and saves the Lifecycle configuration for reuse.
Import
Imports a saved Lifecycle configuration.
Instances
Opens a list of Lifecycle instances, with the option to view and change states of each instance.
On the Lifecycle Card, enter the Lifecycle details in the header and the state transition details in the Lifecycle lines:

State Code Failed | √ | Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central automatically selects this status when an error occurs during batch processing of the state transition. When an error occurs, an alert is also sent. In all other cases, the error appears on the workstation. |
No. of Instances | This field is automatically maintained and shows the number of instances active for the Lifecycle per state. |
