# Cost resources in production

When resources are linked to capacity centers, the costs of that capacity center are assumed to include the resource cost:

- As part of the **Direct Unit Cost**, or
- As part of the **Indirect Cost %**, or
- As part of the **Overhead Rate**.

The actual resource time is recorded as a resource ledger entry.
