While more warehouse activities bring a greater level of organization, they also require additional effort to maintain. Identify an appropriate balance between control and efficiency that suits your business requirements, then set up locations accordingly. Beyond the procedures required when configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central standard warehouse processes, additional setup is necessary if you want to use the warehouse management features in Food Manufacturing & Distribution. The following table describes a sequence of activities, with links to the topics that describe them. These activities are listed in the order in which they are generally performed. | To | See | | --- | --- | | Define the manner in which the system suggests picking activities for lot-controlled items. | [Set a lot picking method](/business-central/docs/bc-set-a-lot-picking-method) | | Configure a warehouse location to use replenishment areas for production activities. | [Set up the warehouse for replenishment areas](/business-central/docs/bc-set-up-the-warehouse-for-replenishment-areas) | ## Related - [Set a lot picking method](/bc-set-a-lot-picking-method.md) - [Set up the warehouse for replenishment areas](/bc-set-up-the-warehouse-for-replenishment-areas.md) - [Warehouse management in Food Manufacturing & Distribution](/bc-warehouse-management-in-food-manufacturing-distribution.md)
