# Close data collection alerts

The program generates data collection alerts in response to certain occurrences in the data collection process. It creates data collection alerts when an entry recorded on a data sheet line does not meet a specified target value. Depending on setup, alerts may also be generated if a result is not entered on a data sheet line within a predefined amount of time.

If a data collection alert has been created for a particular data sheet, close it before the data sheet can be completed.

## Steps

1. In the search box, enter **Open Data Sheets**, and then choose the related link.
2. Open the relevant data sheet.
3. On the **Actions** tab, in the **General** group, choose **Alerts**. The **Data Collection Alerts** page appears.
4. Select the alert you want to close.
5. Right-click and choose **Card**.
6. On the **Data Collection Alert** card, record Anywhere Mobility Solutions necessary information in the **Comments** area if necessary. You can enter an unlimited amount of text in this area.
7. In the **Status** field, select **Closed**.
