When the Batch Reporting page is used to post a batch order that has one or more package orders linked to it, the intermediate item that is the output of the batch order is consumed as part of the package orders. Depending on adjustments made to these production orders, there may be a discrepancy between the output lines for the batch order and the consumption lines for the package orders.
The Intermediate Balancing Method feature handles this issue.
Steps
In the search box, enter Batch Reporting, and then choose the related link.
In the Order No. field, enter the batch order whose intermediate you want to balance with one or more associated package orders.
On the Actions tab, in the Functions group, choose Balance Intermediate.
On the Intermediate Balancing Method page, select the intermediate balancing method you want to use.
Choose Yes.
The program balances the intermediate according to the selected method so that the output quantity on the batch order lines equals the combined consumption quantities on the related package orders.
