You can assign data collection data elements to an item as Quality Control tests via a template. Set up the relevant data collection data elements and templates first. See Configure process-data collection for more information.
Whenever a new item lot record is entered, a Quality Control activity is created for that lot. This Quality Control activity comprises all the data elements assigned to the item as Quality Control tests.
Notes
Quality Control tests are created for specific item lots. Define an item tracking code for an item before you can assign Quality Control tests to it.
Steps
In the search box, enter Items, and then choose the related link.
Open the relevant item card.
On the Related tab, in the Master Data group, choose Quality Tests. The Item Quality Tests page appears.
Go to Related and select Select Template to add the needed templates.
Selected templates are automatically added as quality test lines.
Every data element has an associated data element type. The fields in which you can enter target values for an assigned quality test depend on the data element type.
Fill in the quality test target values and other remaining fields.
You can sort by Sort on Test and Sort on Template. Tests without a template appear as "Template Blank" when sorted by template.
