# Activity link codes

Use activity link codes to connect project tasks to a production operation through the activity work breakdown structure. With these codes, you can create a project-production activity as per customer specifications.

On the **Activity Link Codes** page, define the codes. You can:

- Select the code in the project activities: see [Project elements and project activities](/business-central/docs/bc-work-breakdown-structures-wbs#project-elements-and-project-activities).
- Select the same code in the production order operation: see [Production routing lines](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/production-how-set-up-standard-routing-lines).
