An activity is an intermediate step in the pipeline. It has a number of specific properties, such as locations, documents, or filters. You can connect an activity to: - Another activity. - An event, in which case it is part of an export pipeline. - An endpoint, in which case it is part of either an import or an export pipeline. Typical examples of activities include: - XML generation from a record set, or record generation from an XML document. - Data translation from one format to another, such as XML to CSV or CSV to XML. - Data mapping from one structure to another.
